April 29 Update
Hi all
You might have heard about the early morning terrorist attack on Colombo. I just got a call from Terry...it is about 2am in Sri Lanka and he is safe and well (hurray for Skype and the internet!). He is boiling to death though as they have cut power to the city so his ceiling fan is not working.
It seems that the biggest drama at the moment is there is no power for people to be watching the world cup Sri Lanka vs Australia as it enters its last overs...arghh!

(Sunday morning 7:04: Sri Lanka lost the world cup final, power didn't come on until just after 5am which means there was no world cup viewing in Colombo during the last part of the match, and there was gunfire in Bambalapitiya [area where I live]. I don't know the story on that yet, but will find out more...T)

i ve been searching the net for a while on what really is going on as we we also didnt have power for a while.
i v also heard some explosive noises, at first thought it was fireworks but some friends told it was bombing..
anyways i still dont know what exactly is going on..hope everythings fine.
